Juliet Moncaster, Ph.D.

Senior Research Fellow

After completing my PhD on Amyloid Precursor Protein (APP) processing (involved in Alzheimer's Disease) at Imperial College London, United Kingdom, I joined the MADLab in January 2005.

I am working on developing an early diagnostic test for Alzheimer's Disease using the lens of the eye. I am using Quasi-elastic Light Scattering to measure and monitor differences between diseased and control lenses in vivo.

I am also interested in Prion diseases such as Creutzfeld Jakob Disease in humans, Mad Cow Disease in cows and Scrapie in sheep.
